Tax highlights from the 2017 Yukon territorial budget

Sandy Silver, Yukon’s Premier and Finance Minister tabled Yukon’s territorial budget on April 27, 2017. The Premier predicts a deficit of $8.3 million for 2016-2017, but projects a surplus of $6.5 million for 2017-2018. The budget includes a corporate income tax rate reduction.

Finance Minister Randy Delorey tabled the 2017 Nova Scotia provincial budget on April 27, 2017. After an initial forecast of a $17 million surplus, it is estimated that there will be a surplus of $41 million for the just-completed 2016-2017 fiscal year.

Finance Minister Charles Sousa tabled the 2017 Ontario provincial budget on April 27, 2017. The minister confirmed that the government is projecting a deficit of $1.5 billion for the recently completed 2016-2017 fiscal year − an improvement of $2.8 billion compared with the 2016 budget forecast.
